From 1977 to 2022 drivearchitecture functioned as a multidisciplinary, multidimensional practice in Chicago providing a one-stop solution for clients requiring comprehensive strategic planning and design services including expertise in architecture, engineering, interior and graphic design.
During this time drivearchitecture designed over eight million square feet of commercial, institutional and residential projects for over seven hundred clients in the Chicago Metropolitan area, including long term relationships with Motorola, Grainger, Hewitt/Aon, Kaplan Educational, 20th Century Fox, Parker-Hannifin, Hewlett-Packard, Elkay Manufacturing, Baxter Pharmaceutical, Pace Bus, and VanVlissingen & Co.

With a bias toward context, complexity, and resource conservation, we excel in the renovation, restoration and adaptive reuse of existing buildings and historical structures, particularly when these projects are situated in an urban context.

Now:
In 2022 we shifted away from a client centered practice in order to develop alternative narratives and design strategies that can provide more effective ways to manage human activity operating within the overarching structure of nature.
